European industry creates jobs and provides opportunities to communities and regions, creating value for society and the economy.
At the same time, it is going through deep transformation shaped by globalisation, sustainability, digitalisation and innovation.
A successful industrial policy needs to build on dialogue and partnership, removing barriers to development and making the best use of new opportunities while addressing societal concerns.
In this spirit, EU Industry Days has provided a forum since 2017 for discussion between policy makers, industry and society to ensure that EU policies are fit for purpose.
Its overarching aim is to engage stakeholders in an open and inclusive dialogue with the European Commission. We want to monitor progress and identify new trends that might require additional actions in the near future to strengthen industrial competitiveness in Europe.
EU Industry Days 2019 will take place on 5 - 6 February. This year the discussion will focus on global trends and topics relating to the future of industry, such as sustainable finance, decarbonisation, trade, digitalisation and artificial intelligence. The discussions will take stock of the latest developments and show possible ways forward on the most important questions for Europe’s industrial future.
EU Industry Days 2019 will gather around 1,500 participants from across Europe and beyond, including high-level representatives from industry, research organisations, trade unions, national and regional governments, and civil society.
It is also your chance to shape the industrial policy agenda for the future.
An exhibition will showcase innovative ideas related to the themes of the conference.
