Fagor Ederlan Group, a cooperative group integrated into MONDRAGON, headquartered in the Basque Country and an international benchmark in the automotive components sector, has reached a strategic agreement with the Chinese company Chuzhou Duoli Automotive Technology (Duoli Technology) to establish a joint venture in the Asian country.

The joint venture will combine Fagor Ederlan’s technological and product capabilities, along with its established customer base in Europe and America, with Duoli Technology’s deep market knowledge and industrial experience in the Asian automotive sector

This operation marks the entry of Duoli Technology into the shareholding structure of Fagor Ederlan Kunshan, the aluminum casting plant specialized in manufacturing suspension components for the automotive industry, which the Basque group has owned in China since 2011. The goal of this alliance is to develop and expand the new company to reach the critical mass needed to compete effectively in the Chinese market. The joint venture will combine Fagor Ederlan’s technological and product capabilities, along with its established customer base in Europe and America, with Duoli Technology’s deep market knowledge and industrial experience in the Asian automotive sector.

The agreement was formalized on June 13 during a ceremony held in Kunshan, China, attended by representatives from the governments of Kunshan, Bacheng and Quiandeng, as well as executives from various client companies of the alliance, including Li Auto, Leapmotor and Stellantis. Representing Fagor Ederlan were Jon Zuazo, General Manager; Mikel Uribeetxebarria, Chairman of the Governing Board; Ernesto García, Commercial Director; Jon Arano, Head of the Aluminum Business; and Yang Yi, Director of the Fagor Ederlan Kunshan plant.
