LKS will design the new site for the Bombay high court in Panaji (India)

The State Agency of Goa, GSIDC -Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation-, in charge of the development of the new building, decided to award the design and project management to LKS India.
The new High Court will be located on a hillside above the Mandovi River, on a 30,000 m² plot. The building will have an area of 15,000 m² and will include modern and functional facilities appropriate to international practices and standards.
Some of the many challenges of the project will be minimizing the building's visual and environmental impact that its implementation will have in the forest area where it is located, compatible with the accessibility, functionality and security required for the complex.
LKS will develop the detailed design and, subsequently, lead the tendering process and project management. The construction is expected to begin in October, as soon as the monsoons are over and the new building to open its doors by the end of July 2014.
The development of the works will be carried out by LKS through a multidisciplinary team, where Spanish and Indian technicians will work together.
