Donostia–San Sebastián is set to become the epicentre of discussions on the role of the social economy with the celebration of the inaugural ASETT International Forum. The event will gather over 400 participants from the social economy sphere, including institutional representatives, private organisations, and international figures, who will define strategies for a more inclusive future driven by business networks.

The forum will be held from 27 to 30 May, marking the international launch of this pioneering hub. MONDRAGON is among the organising partners of the event.

Comprehensive programme featuring diverse and complementary activities
The first ASETT International Forum is envisioned as a multi-sectoral event combining plenary sessions, opportunities for discussion and networking, cultural activities, and company visits. ASETT aims to create a platform for promoting a global social and inclusive economy.

Notably, members of the International Advisory Council —including representatives from the ILO, United Nations, OECD, European Parliament, Oxfam Intermón, and various national governments- will take part in the plenary sessions and round tables.

Alongside the forum, several complementary activities have been scheduled. These include the presentation of the Denon Artean Award by the Basque Country Higher Council of Cooperatives (Kooperatiben Kontseilua) on 28 May at 6:00 p.m. at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre in San Sebastián, and a public concert featuring the Cooperative Symphony, conducted by its composer Fernando Velázquez in collaboration with the Euskadiko Orkestra.
