The "Casa Asia Awards 2022" recognize MONDRAGON

The MONDRAGON Corporation has been awarded in the Economy and Business category, "for its pioneering commitment to Asia and for its corporate philosophy based on the values of social responsibility and integration".
This award was instituted for the first time in 2004 and in this year's edition Tomas Mazón Serrano has also been recognized in the category of Culture and Society, for his research and dissemination of the expedition of Fernando de Magallanes and Juan Sebastián Elcano, making it the First Tour of the World known to a non-specialized public through the website rutaelcano.com, with a new vision based on the original sources.
The MONDRAGON Corporation has been awarded in the Economy and Business category, "for its pioneering commitment to Asia and for its corporate philosophy based on the values of social responsibility and integration".
In the category of Diversity and Sustainable Development, the award went to Saurabh Kirpal and Shinta Ratri, for their contribution to gender equality in Asia and in particular for their struggle, from legal practice and social activism, in favor of dignity and the rights of LGTBIQ+ people in India and Indonesia. Dolors Folch Fornesa, has been the winner of the Education and Science category, for her academic career, for contributing to the introduction of Asian studies in Spain, and for her dedication of more than three decades to the knowledge of Chinese culture.
What is Casa Asia?
A public diplomacy body created in 2001 and made up of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Barcelona and Madrid City Councils. It is based in Barcelona, and has a center in Madrid. It was created with the aim of contributing to a better knowledge and promotion of relations between the societies of Asia, the Pacific and Spain, in the institutional, economic, cultural and educational spheres, in addition to bringing closer and facilitating the exchange of cultures, ideas and projects of common interest.
