Fagor Electronica and Mondragon Unibertsitatea to drive the development of industrial technologies
Fagor Electronica and the faculty of engineering of Mondragon Unibertsitatea have signed an agreement aimed at establishing a stable framework for collaboration that will foster knowledge generation, the development of new technologies and the training of highly qualified professionals.
The partnership, which will initially run for four years and is intended to continue in the long term, will enable the development of joint research and development projects, strengthen ties between academia and industry, and help train future generations of professionals and researchers in key technological fields.

The programme will provide for the creation of joint research teams comprising professionals from Fagor Electronica, researchers and teaching staff from Mondragon Unibertsitatea, as well as undergraduate, master's and doctoral students.
According to both institutions, the collaboration will help strengthen the connection between academia and industry, facilitating the effective transfer of knowledge and the incorporation of new capabilities into the industrial sector.
Strategic technologies and talent development
Activities will focus on technological areas considered strategic for the future of Fagor Electronica, including power converter design, control and modulation systems, energy storage, embedded electronics, FPGA technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing technologies and semiconductor device simulation.
In addition to research and innovation projects, the agreement includes the joint design of training programmes, the participation of company professionals in academic activities, and the development of bachelor's and master's theses, doctoral dissertations, internships and other initiatives aimed at promoting employability and supporting the development of young talent.
Furthermore, both institutions will draw up a four-year technological roadmap to identify the main research lines and priority technologies to be developed. The roadmap will be reviewed periodically to adapt to market needs and technological developments.
