Copreci celebrates it 50th anniversary

In 1963 a group of 40 people set up Copreci (COmponentes de PRECIsión) business activities manufacturing gas valves in Aretxabaleta (Gipuzkoa). Currently, Copreci is a global company with over 1,400 people in its 7 production plants worldwide. Consolidated business turnover stands at 185 Million Euros.

Copreci is one of the leading global manufacturers of household appliance components and a key player in the market for devices for control-regulation solutions for gas and water extraction.

Our key accounts include the main brands in the household appliance sector such as Bosch Siemens, Whirlpool, Indesit, Electrolux, General Electric, Fagor, Miele, Haier, Weber and Char Broil, among others.

Product catalogue

Copreci manufactures the following products in its facilities:

- Valves, thermostats, electronic gas control systems, conduction elements... for gas cookers, hobs, barbecues, heaters and ovens.

- Generators for induction hobs.

- Drain pumps and recirculation pumps for washing machines and dishwashers.

International Expansion

Copreci was a pioneer in MONDRAGON Corporation in the sphere of internationalization with the launch of Copreci México in 1989, which was the first overseas facility for the Corporation. Following Mexico, production plants were opened in Czech Republic (1996), Italy (2002), Turkey and Brazil (2003), and China (2004).

Copreci provides a global supply from these 7 countries, adapting itself to markets, sharing the same management system and the same technical know-how. Currently, over 65% of turnover comes from the HQ in Aretxabaleta (Gipuzkoa).

Technological Capacity: over 280 patents

Our Technological Capacity and our customer-oriented approach stand out as Copreci brand values. Over 280 patents in Europe, USA, China... are proof of our innovative attitude. Likewise, here at Copreci we offer our customers innovative solutions which help incorporate ease of use and new features into household appliances. In this sense, we can highlight innovative developments such as Smart cooking, an electronic system for gas hob management; the induction series Ecook, which enables power consumption management using pre-set limits; or the remote control for gas heaters Remotion.

By applying this technological capacity to industrial processes, Copreci is able to compete globally with regions with cheaper labour costs by using automated processes and rationalizing power use and consumption.

A prosperous present and a promising future.

In the current difficult economic situation, Copreci is a profitable business project with a wide international presence which creates jobs in the local area.  In fact, since 2009, when the economic downturn set in, Copreci has grown in the local area with 70 new jobs.

Despite the current market situation, Copreci is looking to the future optimistically with plans for growth on the outer edges of the European Union, in the Americas, and in Asia.
