Fagor Arrasate to supply VinFast with a high-speed press line in Vietnam
Fagor Arrasate, specialist in the development of solutions for the forming and processing of metallic materials and composites, has recently received an order from Vietnamese car maker VinFast to supply a new high-speed full-servo press line for its manufacturing complex in Haiphong, Vietnam.
As a result of the joint work between the teams of VinFast and Fagor Arrasate, an installation which is fully tailored to the customer's needs has been developed from scratch. This line is made of five servo presses, totaling a pressing force of 73.000 kN, shared between a servo-driven lead-off press of 25.000 kN and four servo presses of 12.000 kN each. It can work with dies of up 5.000 mm x 2.600 mm in each station.
High-speed full-servo press lines operate at high levels of efficiency and deliver output ratings that exceed conventional systems, resulting the most advanced solution in terms of productivity. This specific line will be able to stamp both steel and aluminum skin parts.
Fagor supplies the complete installation, including the front-of-line, the presses and the automation for inter-press synchronization, demonstrating once again its industrial capacity to undertake complex and large-scale projects, within tight deadlines and anywhere in the world.
The line is expected to go into production in the first half of 2024.
